The Rothenberg Wealth Management Award
The Rothenberg Wealth Management Award was established at the University of Calgary by Rothenberg Wealth Management to support diversity and equal opportunity in higher education, specifically in the competitive finance field. Funded by a $20,000 gift to the University of Calgary over the next four years, the award provides annual scholarships for undergraduate minority finance students in their second or third years at the Haskayne School of Business who have demonstrated academic excellence. The merit-based scholarships provided by the award enable selected students to focus on completing their program and prepare for their professional success post-graduation, easing the burden of undergraduate tuition costs at an important time in their academic and professional lives.
Inaugural Scholarship Awarded
Marking an exciting milestone for the initiative, the inaugural scholarship for the 2024 academic year was recently awarded to Ibrahim Hasan, a third-year student in the dual degree Bachelor of Commerce at the Haskayne School of Business and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Ibrahim was invited to the Rothenberg offices in Downtown Calgary, where he was warmly welcomed by CEO Robert Rothenberg and the Rothenberg team. The visit included a delightful lunch, providing Ibrahim with a unique opportunity to engage directly with the wealth advisory team at Rothenberg and gain helpful and inspiring advice and insights into a career in the financial services industry.
